Lagoon Lake

Lagoon Lake (sometimes called The Lagoon or The Pond) is a body of water on the south side of the park from which Lagoon takes its name.

The lake was located on the original forty acres (162,000 m²). The original lagoon was used to harvest ice in winter; Bamberger had it enlarged to 9 acres (36,000 m2) by clearing some swampland. The lake is now about 1/3 the original size.

The lake was home to the former rides Showboat, Water Skeeters. The Wild Kingdom Train circles the lake on its trip. the rides Tidal Wave and Turn of the Century are located on the shores of the lake.
